Crown Prince Foundation Sends New Group of Engineering Students to Airbus Internship

3 November 2025

Amman, April 6 – The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) has announced the enrollment of a new cohort of engineering students in the fifth round of Airbus internships as part of CPF’s Global Internship Program.

According to a statement issued Sunday, the six-month training will take place at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, under the guidance of specialists in aeronautical engineering, simulation systems, and air navigation.

Four students were selected for this round: Farah Al-Abous from Al Hussein Technical University, Ayham Al-Hamouri from the University of Jordan, Lara Oti from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, and Yousef Al-Shanti from Petra University.

During the internship, the students will engage in scientific research and advanced engineering applications, gaining hands-on experience in a global work environment.

CPF highlighted that the enrollment of the new students comes as part of its ongoing collaboration with Airbus, which began in 2017 to provide high-quality training opportunities for youth in Jordan at leading international companies.

In preparation for the internship, the students participated in a series of workshops in March through CPF’s Makerspace program. These included training in digital manufacturing, 3D printing, and prototype development using advanced tools such as laser cutting. Additional sessions covered basic French language skills, documentation, and photography.

Launched under CPF’s Pathway to Economic Participation, the Global Internship Program aims to empower talented and academically distinguished youth in Jordan by offering practical training experiences at leading global institutions.

The program focuses on developing technical, cognitive, and personal skills through hands-on, educational training with leading institutions such as Airbus and the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES). It offers participants exposure to the latest global trends and the opportunity to engage with new cultures, enabling them to return from the experience as change-makers who contribute to advancing their fields locally.
