HTU Launches ‘Scholarships for the Future’ to Empower Youth in Jordan

3 November 2025

Amman, February 12 – Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, announced today the launch of ‘Scholarships for the Future’ as part of the early registration period for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The initiative aims to provide 300 full and partial scholarships to outstanding students from various governorates across Jordan, under different eligibility criteria. According to HTU President Dr. Ismael Al-Hinti, the initiative aligns with HTU’s commitment to advancing technical education and empowering youth in Jordan in high-demand technology and future sciences.

Al-Hinti emphasized that technical education is a cornerstone for building a strong, innovation-driven economy, adding that HTU, under the guidance and support of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, is dedicated to providing youth in Jordan with the opportunity to excel in technical fields, preparing them for the job market, and keeping pace with global technological advancements. He further highlighted that these scholarships are not merely financial aid but an investment in the minds and talents that will shape the future.

The scholarships are structured as follows:

  • 40 ‘Hope Scholarships’ for students from underprivileged families
  • 50 scholarships for public school students
  • 5 scholarships for students excelling in academics and sports
  • 2 scholarships for students with disabilities
  • 48 scholarships for students from Jordanian governorates, including a monthly stipend for students from the southern region funded by the Student Support Fund and various donors

To attract talented students and promote these scholarships, HTU will conduct a nationwide tour across different governorates. Al-Hinti reiterated that technical education is the future and a right for all, stressing that opportunities should be available to every student passionate about technology and future sciences, regardless of their academic performance or socioeconomic background.

For the first time, HTU is introducing an early registration period for high school students applying for the 2025/2026 academic year. This campaign aims to give students ample time to plan their academic journey and make well-informed decisions about their future. Al-Hinti emphasized that choosing a university is a pivotal decision in every student’s life and that the campaign allows students to explore different specializations and consider their academic options.

HTU was established in 2016 as an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation and focuses on providing world-class education in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. HTU follows a unique educational model centered on hands-on learning and intensive practical training, incorporating engineering workshops, scientific laboratories, and a one-year applied training program within its curriculum. HTU offers three academic levels (Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Certificate, and Higher National Diploma), and a flexible structure that allows students to tailor their education to their professional needs.

HTU is included in both the Royal Scholarship for Teachers’ Children and the Royal Scholarship for Children of Jordanian Armed Forces and Security Personnel. The university is also a key partner to Jordan’s industrial and technology sectors, striving to bridge the gap between education outcomes and job market demands through advanced training programs and strategic partnerships with local and international institutions.
