The Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service is a national annual award to recognize outstanding volunteer initiatives in Jordan. The Award recognizes individuals, teams, and entities who contribute to sustainable social development and foster a culture of cooperation, volunteerism and accountability in Jordan. The Award highlights the inspiring initiatives of volunteers and expresses appreciation for their efforts in serving the community and country.

About the Award

The Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service was launched by HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on International Volunteer Day in 2021, with the aim of encouraging efforts to promote outstanding volunteer initiatives by individuals, teams and institutions. It is held under the umbrella of the Ministry of Youth, in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation and UNICEF.

The Award covers a wide range of volunteering areas including social, health, education and training, sports, arts and culture, the environment and tourism, leadership and innovation.

The Award recognizes first, second and third place winners in each of its four categories (Individuals, Teams, Corporations, and Non-profit Organizations).

All nominations will be considered by an award committee who will measure the nominations against a set of criteria to determine the winners.
