The School Leadership Program (SLP) aims to instill the foundations of proactive citizenship and nationalism among adolescents through leadership and community service opportunities. SLP is purposely designed to target early teenagers in order to foster a sense of community, citizenship and service at an early age.

About SLP

The School Leadership Program (SLP) is open to students in grades 8 – 11 in public schools in Jordan, and activities are tailored to guide youth on a journey of self-exploration and character building. SLP organizes workshops and community service opportunities to develop teamwork abilities, leadership skills, and the spirit of volunteering. SLP enables participants to develop a sense of belonging and an understanding of their role and responsibility within society.

The School Leadership Program was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Ministry of Education and co-managed by the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF).

  • Creates an action plan related to Sustainable Development Goals
  • Enables members to relate the needs of their local community to global causes
  • Instills the concepts of collective action, advocacy, and youth mobilization

The School Leadership Program is open to students in grades 8 – 11 in public schools across the Kingdom.

The first phase of SLP, Sprouts, is open to all students. After completing Sprouts, students are assessed by their trainers and those who have excelled can continue to the second phase of the Program, Knights.

By joining the School Leadership Program, you gain lifelong skills that will benefit you no matter what path you choose, such as self-confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, an understanding of the democratic process, a sense of community, and a service mindset.

All public schools in Jordan are part of the School Leadership Program.
