The School Leadership Program (SLP) aims to instill the foundations of proactive citizenship and nationalism among adolescents through leadership and community service opportunities. SLP is purposely designed to target early teenagers in order to foster a sense of community, citizenship and service at an early age.
The School Leadership Program (SLP) is open to students in grades 8 – 11 in public schools in Jordan, and activities are tailored to guide youth on a journey of self-exploration and character building. SLP organizes workshops and community service opportunities to develop teamwork abilities, leadership skills, and the spirit of volunteering. SLP enables participants to develop a sense of belonging and an understanding of their role and responsibility within society.
The School Leadership Program was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Ministry of Education and co-managed by the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF).
