With no teachers, classrooms or lectures, 42 Amman and 42 Irbid use a gamified coding approach and a peer-to-peer, project-based, hands-on method of learning to generate the finest digital developers.

42 Amman and 42 Irbid each have a campus that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art computers and high-speed internet and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With inclusivity and accessibility at their core, 42 Amman and 42 Irbid are entirely tuition free, and accept all talents over the age of 18, regardless of gender, background, education or origin.
Centered around a gamified coding approach, 42 Amman and 42 Irbid use a hands-on method of learning which consists of practical experience and peer collaboration. This peer-to-peer, project-based, methodology creates a supportive community of creative problem solvers with a spirit of collaboration, and generates the finest digital developers.

This Program is a full-time educational program that requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for a duration of at least 18 months (for the core program) and up to an additional three years (for specialization).
No, our method of learning relies on peer interaction within the 42 Amman or 42 Irbid campus and is not done remotely.
Yes, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate upon completion.
The educational program at 42 Amman and 42 Irbid is intensive, so it not advisable to have a full-time job during your studies. You can work part-time, but you will need to manage your time between studying and working.
No prior knowledge of programming is required for 42 Amman or 42 Irbid.
This is a challenging program that is designed to stimulate your creative thinking through peer interactions and collaborations. Whether you are a programmer or not, you will find something new to learn with 42 Amman and 42 Irbid.
The Piscine stage is the first step in your 42 Amman or 42 Irbid journey. For one month you can experience the 42 methodology – peer-to-peer learning, group work, peer-evaluation and project pedagogy – while learning basic programming. Piscine is designed to determine whether 42 Amman/42 Irbid is the right choice for you. If you pass Piscine, you can continue with 42 Amman or 42 Irbid core training.
You don’t need a laptop during the Piscine stage. The 42 Amman campus and the 42 Irbid campus are each equipped with 100 computers, which is sufficient for all students. If you like, you can use your personal laptop while studying, but you must submit your projects using the computers at the 42 Amman or 42 Irbid campus.
This Program is based on a hands-on method of learning which consists of practical experience and peer collaboration. An educational team works to ensure a safe learning environment and supports the continuous progress of our students.
Projects are evaluated by fellow students using an evaluation sheet and general guidelines set by our educational team. Students must be able to explain their solution to the evaluator in a way that makes it understandable, even if the evaluator has no prior knowledge of the project/solution. Grades will be determined based on the effectiveness of the solution and the student’s ability to explain it.
